TUFF GUAC
Rafael Valles Hilario is a busy guy. He plays in MOAR, Brorlab, and The Jagged Frequency. He is the label boss of Belly Button Records, founded by himself. And Tuff Guac is the solo project of this multi-talented individual. Although, solo: he takes the stage with various comrades-in-arms from Antwerp, Ghent, and surrounding areas to play unadulterated catchy garage cowboypop songs. This is also the case at BRIDGE AROUND TOWN. The reverb knobs on the amplifiers are fully open for these fuzzy guitar-driven songs. The latest achievement is the album Swanky Love, on which Tuff Guac again comes out dancing, clever, and quirky. For those who love both Oh Sees, Ty Segall, and Kurt Vile as well as the most powerful songs of The Kinks. Or other references that might convince you: Tuff Guac regularly shared the stage with The Peoples Pleasure Grounds, who you can also see at BRIDGE AROUND TOWN this evening. If you enjoy that band, we recommend commuting between the Effenaar and the Altstadt.
