TRICKLEBOLT
It speaks volumes about a band when they dare to step out of their comfort zone. Tricklebolt did just that when recording their new album "Honey From the Sky". The gentlemen traveled from their home base in the east of the country all across the Netherlands to various studios, invited many guest musicians (such as Pablo van de Poel, Indian Askin, and Wout Kemkens (from Iron Jinn)), and thus stepped out of their own bubble. At the same time, on their third album, they remained faithful to a few non-negotiable basic ingredients. Their rock songs are layered, catchy, dynamic, and not devoid of a layer of psychedelia. A band with a very thick and fine guitar sound. Somewhat indebted to obvious heroes like Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, and Deep Purple. But above all, a group of musicians who have found their own sound and yet continue to dare to search further.
