PLEXI STAD
How do some bands manage to sound more punk, more new wave, more late seventies, more early eighties than they could back then? Plexi Stad knows how. These Belgians combine the best of Television, XTC, The Clash, The Sex Pistols, and Talking Heads into a concise and powerful whole. The basses and rhythm guitars are played quite loosely, sometimes threatening to veer off course, but are always kept in line by ultra-sharp and tight drums. And then the vocals: well, they come at you like The Truth, sung and shouted in the most catchy possible form. 'Action and Joy' is one of their songs. We couldn't summarize what to expect during their show at BRIDGE Around Town any better than that song title.
