MOTHER'S CAKE

Austria: the land of beautiful mountains, opulent palaces, The Sound of Music, the Viennese Waltz, Wienerschnitzel and Mother's Cake! Holy moly, what a great band this is. The sounds this exciting rock trio produces lies pretty much where Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, The Mars Volta, Wolfmother and King's X meet. Singer/guitarist Yves Krismer is a great funky rocker with brutal solos in his fingers and a stroke as tight as a balloon that is almost ready to burst. Anyway, they make groovy psych-rock that you’ll enjoy endlessly. Perhaps redundant to point out, with all the above references: but live these gentlemen are at their best live. Music at the cutting edge.
