ACID MOTHERS TEMPLE
Acid Mothers Temple (& the Melting Paraiso U.F.O., for those seeking completeness) is a Japanese psych-rock combo that has been floating around in its own universe for many years. Within the cosmos of these experimental Japanese musicians, you'll hear screaming guitars with the fuzz pedal continuously pressed, delightful mesmerizing bleeps from synthesizers, and hypnotic vocals. Guitarist Kawabata Makoto founded the band to create 'extreme trip music,' and indeed, he succeeded. Makoto once played with the renowned Gong, considered one of the absolute pioneers of space rock. Other references that emerge while listening to this adventurous group are Black Sabbath, Hawkwind, Frank Zappa, and Ozric Tentacles. A one-way ticket to higher spheres is guaranteed with these wonderfully unconventional Japanese artists.
